School and centre leaders are key to safeguarding the holistic development of young children in their care, with attention to their well-being and involvement in learning.
In this course school and centre leaders will:
- Understand, practice, and support Learning Through Play (LtP) in their school or centre.
- Lead their school/centre as a ‘learning organisation’, taking their own Continuous Professional Development (CPD) seriously, acting as role models, and actively supporting staff engagement in CPD.
- Create awareness on LtP with parents, caregivers, and the wider community.
- Activate their networks to ensure ‘the right’ LtP resources and learning environment, with contextually appropriate, low-cost resources.
- Adhere to ethical leadership principles and professional conduct, demonstrating accountability and supervisory leadership.
The course includes 6 modules:

Module 2: Learning through Play – What it is and how it helps
Module 3: Leading Your Team – Growing Professionally and Leading with Values
Module 4: LtP Resourcing: Environments, Materials, and Safety
Module 5: Sharing LtP with Parents, Caregivers, and Community, and Understanding How Things Connect
Module 6: Being Responsible and Leading Ethically in Learning through Play (LtP)
