Welcome to the Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in Response to Covid-19 course for Educators. This course will help you and your PLC navigate Covid-19 challenges. In PLCs, educators collaborate to find solutions to challenges and strengthen their practice. Now, more than ever, PLCs are vital to support you and your learners through the COVID-19 pandemic.
This course consists of an introduction and two modules. You will receive a certificate on completing the course and you can earn SACE CPTD points (type 1). You can report completion through the SACE CPTD self-service portal.
The first module provides tips on how to stay safe in your PLC as well as tips to keep in mind for a first PLC session. It also gives guidance on online PLC sessions.
The second module contains several units guiding PLCs to learn about the following topics*:
- Understanding COVID-19 (compulsory)
- Educator well-being (optional)
- Learner well-being (optional)
- Remote teaching and learning (optional)
* To complete the course and receive a certificate, you need to complete the first unit and at least one optional unit
