I haven’t yet completed my QMS for this year but I have already saw that my weak points which are the grey area need more attention.because I have realized that the written work is not in line with my lesson plan and lesson preparation
-
Improving on the using of atp, lesson plan then lesson preparation probably
-
Be more effective on doing lessons plans preparing the whole week sessions with my teaching and learning
-
I struggle with classroom management specifically noise management.
I am trying to improve by:
1. Setting clear noise level expectations
2. Using non-verbal cues like hand gestures or facial expressions
3. Creating a quiet signal, like flicking the lights
4. Encouraging active listening
5. Using noise-reducing strategies like “turn-and-talk”
6. Providing regular breaks
-
i must be in a position to prioritize my curriculum duties and administrative duties
-
After completing my QMS I realised that I don’t usually go to class with teaching aids.

Reflecting on the completion of Quality Management System (QMS), it’s essential to identify areas within your personal skill set that may benefit from further development. This self-assessment can enhance your professional growth and contribute to more effective quality management practices.
Identifying Skill Gaps:
1. Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving:
Assess your ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions. Strengthening these skills can lead to more informed decision-making within the QMS framework.
2. Managerial and Supervisory Skills:
Evaluate leadership capabilities, including team management and motivation. Enhancing these skills can improve team performance and alignment with quality objectives.
3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Reflect on proficiency in conveying information clearly and collaborating with colleagues. Effective communication is vital for implementing quality initiatives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
4. Technological Proficiency:
Consider comfort and competence with relevant quality management software and tools. Staying updated with technological advancements can streamline QMS processes.
5. Adaptability and Flexibility:
Think about responsiveness to change and your ability to adapt to new quality standards or procedures. Cultivating adaptability ensures resilience in dynamic work settings.
Addressing Identified Gaps:
Set Clear Objectives:
Define specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals to target the identified skill gaps.
Seek Professional Development:
Engage in training programs, workshops, or courses focused on the areas needing improvement. For instance, if technological proficiency is a gap, consider enrolling in courses related to quality management software.
Request Feedback:
Solicit constructive feedback from peers and supervisors to gain insights into your performance and areas for enhancement.
Practice and Apply Skills:
Actively seek opportunities to apply new skills in your daily tasks. Practical application reinforces learning and builds confidence.
Join Professional Communities:
Participate in forums or groups related to quality management to share experiences and learn from others. Engaging with professionals in the field can provide valuable perspectives and support.

So far I did my mid year self appraisal and there are some gaps that I have encountered. I still need to improve on professional development, how to manage discipline effectively and there were some contextual factors that are beyond my control, for example, I teach in an overcrowded class which plays a role in some of the gaps.
-
Upon completing my annual IQMS (2024),I’ve come to the realization that:
Firstly I need to work on my punctuality with regards to lessons or period. A lot of time is spent on unnecessary workload that end up depriving me of contact time with the learners. Hence always trying to catch up with the ATP.
Lastly I need to improve on my classroom management skills,I had a low rank there due to issues such as classroom arrangement. My biggest challenge was being able to manage an overcrowded classroom of which I now have the knowledge on how to address such issues
-
I still need to my manage my classroom more effectively because the seating arrangements in our overcrowded classrooms. I use seating traditional method but it does not work for me because young learners are problematic when they are supposed to settle down quickly.
-
I still have to get more knowledge on subject teaching and also comingways that can help me discipline my class.
-
I haven’t done my mid year appraisal but beside that my learners are still not respecting time and some are not taking their feedback serious.
-
I completed two QMS cycles. I need assistance on various teaching strategies and classroom management. Especially classroom management of overcrowded classrooms
-
I still need to formulate or learn effective strategies on how to implement discipline and the way in which learners could be made to focus more into their studies than misbehaving.
