I joined teachers union last year 2023, since then i have nothing to complain about. SADTU is offering many benefits to me as public employee, including better salary and protect me as teacher. many teachers are loosing their jobs unnecessarily because they don’t have the union to fight for them.

I will join the South African Democratic Teachers union (SADTU) because they are well known in south Africa for advocating the rights and interests of teacher around south Africa education for both public and private school by improving working condition for teachers, making sure that our salaries are improved accordingly to the economy state and gives good benefits for its members, and they also supports its members with an access to legal assistance related to school problems a teacher my encounter and help with professional development opportunities, and resources for us as teachers in our teaching career.

This is because they have strong negotiating record with the government and education authorities on behalf of all teachers to secure better pay and working conditions and lastly, they give a better networking by giving teachers opportunities to learn from other educators and improve education system and allow teachers to have voice in the direction of the education.
