Gender equality in South Africa is emphasized in writing and in the country’s constitution. However, we as educators continue to see gender equality not normalised in everyday actions.

Women and men are not treated as equal in practise as it’s coined in books. As a result, it’s our responsibility as educators to start in the classroom and make our learners aware and enlighten them on what is gender equality in the hopes of having a fully gender equal nation in future through practice and consistency.
