Length:There is a common misconception length. Teachers usually tell learners that zero means nothing. Therefore when measuring length learners ignore zero and start measuring from 1cm. It is our duty as educators to remind learbers tgat when measuring length we start from zero. We can give them 2D object/diagrams and they must practice measuring with their rulers.
