I have not completed my IQMS for this year.
My obvious gap is teaching for learning – lesson planning, its implementation and making sure that learning occurs.

My problem is classroom management in foundation phase, because if a learner request to go to use a bathroom all of them they want to go there.

I also have not done QMS .I also have a challenge with classroom management.My class is so noisy I don’t know what to do

I have done my QMS process and the challenges I faced was the noise on the day of the visit. My kids got too excited to a point where I lost control over the class.Also with the BELLA ACT I really find it hard to be able to administer effective classroom management and discipline as the law restricts us to most things.

I have set rules, they should take turns. And if I let two learners to go at once, they don’t go to the same bathroom.

Im also have that problem when I’m in the classroom,this is very common from grade 4 to 7. I also trying different strategies everyday,that might help.

Your self appraisal is more useful because you weigh your self and give yourself points .

Learners have different barriers. It can be learners who can’t read or write properly. So, handouts will assist; however, they will differ because of the different barriers. It is one of the challenges that I’m trying to overcome.

QMS means a lot especially in a new teacher because it teaches how to do lesson plans effectively before going to classroom.

Learners with barriers need to be given more time than others ,so that they can grasp each lesson they are given.

After completing my self appraisal instrument i have realized that i need to improve on the issue of record keeping and participation in extramural activities.

When I was doing my NS lesson for QMS I realised that there were missing teaching aids,next time I will have them enough.

I have noticed in different classrooms,that I teaching that ,most learners with barriers are the one who make class disruptions.

I have already completed QMS and I have identified grey areas that needs my attention as soon as possible. For example I have good lesson plans and activities but the challenges I ended up given learners different activities than the one set and relevant. That was due to lack of resources (paper and ink)

I have already completed my QMS for last year. Lack of resources is a problem because sometimes it forces one to change activity presentation to align with the lesson, which results in time consumption.

What I like is that QMS encourage us as teachers to be always flexible and confident when are in class more often.

Keep up with the ATP and all give learners enough and provide feedback on time in order to help those who haven’t achieve the lesson object while I still have time

Each and every teacher can not teach without an ATP , because I see it as an engine of what to teach for all terms.

I have completed my mid year appraisal.I need to work on discipline in my classroom. Learners must rise up their hands to give an answer and not all together. I must put more posters up on the wall and learn time management.
Must also keep my classroom clean and organized

It’s very important to communicate with learners in advance for the class that you intend to do your QMS with.Tell them everything you want and you no interruption during the lesson ,when you are observed. I just make sure that my class is in order and clean all over.
