I have not yet complete my QMS but…
I aware of the gaps in the classroom. For instance, lessons plans need to be prepared before lessons and sticking to the lesson plans.

I need to work on discipline in my class, learners are shouting out the answers, instead of raising their hands and wauting .

Discipline in a big classroom
Time effectiveness.
Admin work do it effectively

A skill I need to polish is incorporating technology in lesson presentation and using as much devices as possible to help learners understand concepts better.
-
Reflecting on my QMS, I need to use more visual aids, and tactical aids. Practicals make learning more excited and willing to learn. It’s important to use all 4 learning styles.

I personally lack in maintaining good classroom discipline, and motivating learners in general. I would like to resort to awarding positive behavior by complementing good behavior aided by positive reinforcement. This should possibly entice learners into wanting to be acknowledged and complimented on their good behavior which would in theory help to maintain classroom discipline which would aid the process of teaching and learning and therefore positively affect learner perfomance.

The biggest challenge I have is adaptability. With a lot of things happening (workshops, sports etc) it becomes difficult for me the work around the lesson plans and effectively cover the curriculum.

Exam setting by utilising Bloom’s Taxonomy for Accounting, as it is difficult to differentiate between level 4 and 5 questions.

In my skill set I struggle with classroom management and disciplining the kids in grade 7. I teach grades 4 and 7, with grade 4, I can manage just fine, we are always busy and doing our work with little to no disturbance. However, with grade 7, it is a different story. I have tried even making sure they have a lot of tasks to do it doesn’t work. They get so noisy and some of them even decide not to write the work, and when you ask them and plead with them, they give you an insane attitude.

I need to improve in participating more on extra co-curricular activities and producing more teaching and learning resources

I aware of the gaps in the classroom. More specifically discipline of learners.

I need to reflect more on teaching methods that will include learners with barriers. Discipline in the classroom is also a challenge.

I have completed my mid-year QMS, one of the gaps I identified is having limited learning and teaching supporting materials which then limits me as a teacher. However, I am finding ways from other avenues that close the gap in my classroom. In addition, I have a bit of a challenge when it comes to classroom management – learners have a tendency of asking to go to the restroom only to find out they are busy wandering around the school yard.
