I will join Sadtu

Belonging to a union that satisfies your needs and interest is one of the best feelings that any teacher could ask for. I’ve always wished to become a member of Sadtu because I believe my rights as a worker will be presented effectively and sufficiently. Sadtu understand the needs of educators and has experience in the field.

The Union I’ve joined is SADTU. It’s not only the largest teachers union but an Organization that is affiliated to COSATU which is the trade union federation in South Africa. SADTU aims to end all forms of discrimination in Education and trying very hard to fight for free and democratic system of Education in South Africa.

I will join NATU because it takes education very serious. They don’t waste teaching and learning time in attending many marches and strikes. Most times their members are in schools making sure teaching and learning takes place.

I would like to join SADTU, because a union acts like a support system in times of need. Itis concernes about learners and educators interests. According to it, it aims to eradicate all forms of discrimination in education & strive towards free and democratic system of education.. That can be seen when it was advocating for language rights.

I will join SADTU (South African Democratic Teachers Union) because it is the largest teachers union in South Africa and I believe that for it to exist for so many years with so many members means it is working well with teachers in ensuring that our educational policy, labor rights and professional development are protected.

If only SADTU was able to maintain or promote high standards of ethical conduct among its members, as enlisted in its objectives. Then would it be a perfect union to align with, but for now… It is just a union with high membership counts and that’s all it has to offer
