I joined SADTU, simply because i believe they serve well the interests of the teachers. i also believe it’s important for every educator to have a union which will keep them grounded.

Unions are just political parties that do not contribute to the profession in serious times of need. So I’m not interested In any.
-
I join SADTU because I believe it have the best interest of the teachers and leaners , its still listen to us as educators when we voice our concerns and opinions about how to improve our work environment
-
I have joined SADTU mainly because it’s protects teachers from unfair labour practices and also negotiates teachers salaries and government policies in education.
-
NAPTOSA
I selected this union as they are quite efficient in dealing with matters. From what I have read and seen, they handle your matter with the due privacy and the respect it deserves.
In terms of joining a union, my feelings are borderline because although they are seen as a body to protect you, it is also turning into a political game these days. I do believe joining a union is beneficial for any teacher who is in the profession.

Sadtu – It definitely goes above and beyond where advocacy is involved. It leaves no stone unturned ensuring thorough accountability.

I will join SADTU. One of my reasons for joining this union is because I believe it is well known in fighting for the rights of educators, and is politically inclined to the government ruling party. Therefore joining SADTU is tantamount to joining the ruling government of this country.
-
I will join Naptosa , I like their policies and their emphasis in Teacher Education and Professional Development.
-
I wanted to join Sadtu . I even sent my application to them. The issues is that it has being 6 months and I haven’t seen any deductions from them. I heard about PEU and I am considering joining it , because I believe that even if PEU is not praised like SADTU if given a chance. I would be surprised
-
I would like to join a SADTU but since I’m a new teacher I’ll have to critical read through some different unions and what they stand for, in order for me to choose wisely.
-
I don’t see a reason to join any union, because they are not fighting for our rights as educators

I’m thinking of joining SAOU (Suid Afrikaanse Onderwys Unie) is an organization that aims to unite and support South African teachers and educators.
I’m thinking of joining this union because it offers:
1. Professional development: Offers training and development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
2. Advocacy: SAOU advocates for teachers’ rights, better working conditions, and improved education policies.
3. Networking opportunities: SAOU events and conferences offer chances to connect with fellow educators, share ideas

I will join SADTU ,because it seems to be the largest teacher union and has been around for quite some time.I believe that they are now more experienced in dealing with different teacher issues.
