This has been of my great concern as a new teacher because some of my colleagues can be missing in action in consecutive weeks. This has made me realize that besides being sick some people get weary of their working environments and end up being absent frequently.

Later coming and Sick days without valid reasons.

I think a teacher lateness or absence has far_reaching consequences that extend beyond the classroom as it disrupts student ‘s learning, increases the burden and fellow educators, and can contribute to a negative school environment. This maybe resolved by addressing and explaining the consequences of late coming or sick days without valid reasons to teachers.

Late coming and being absent can also be a distraction for some teachers because you sometimes find yourself taking care of someone else’s class whilst yours are waiting for you to attend to.

And that alone gives your superior and colleagues. Not them alone even learner about your time management and yet you will be the one to teach them about it in a certain topic you’ll cover in the future

Never stop learning: We must not stop learning because our clients (learners) regard us (teachers) as their living encyclopedia. They expect us provide solutions in everything they are experiencing in life in their vicinity.

I agree with you Mr Baloyi, I personally think that educators should employ reflective teaching and learning practices in order to enhance their teaching practices and the learning experiences of their learners. Reflective practices have been identified as a significant tool for continuous learning and the enhancement of pedagogy as well as teacher development, teachers become experts in the subject that they teach when they engage in continuous learning.

Dress code: We must be presentable whenever we have to meet our valuable clients (learners). We play different roles in our learners, some see us as their role models, source of inspiration, and above all we are ambassadors of this noble profession

Cellphone usage: Use the cellphone in a working environment for work related issues like researching some topics and approaches to tackle the challenging topics. Refrain from using cellphone for chatting with friends and relatives during working hours.

I agree with this because when you arrive in time you also prepare for your day before you even have to go to class.

Yes i agree on that, and a teacher should not leave early at school before learners leave the school yard because they are still our responsibilities when they are at the school yard.

Educators must act in a proper and becoming way such that their behaviour does not
bring the teaching profession into disrepute.
