A teacher is a professional responsible for preparing young pupils for the real world and making a positive, responsible, and meaningful contribution in the world. Therefore, teachers need to set good foundational examples for these learners. Nevertheless, some are more important than others, however, it is the little things we say and do that can spark ideas on learners on how they can play their part in society. In most cases, the way you dress can greatly revel your character and how people react/interact with you. So, for learners to take you seriously, you need to look the part by setting the standards on acceptable presentation of oneself.

I would also like to comment on the dress code. When you are dressed properly, learners appreciate and listen more most importantly they address you properly and you become more like a role model. And this encourages them greatly to perform better at school so that they too can be better citizens or members of the community.

Communication with the colleagues, parents and learners is very important as it shows the positive working environment.

The educator and the profession. It emphasizes the importance of knowing my role as an educator and ensuring that I conduct myself in a professional manner by not bringing weapons or illegal substances to the school.

I believe in gender equality. Promoting gender equality in the classroom ensures mutual respect amongst everyone regardless of their gender. It also ensure that everyone’s voice matters and all learners must participate in the classroom without fear or doubts.

Acquiring and using various teaching resources and strategies to ensure that all learners learn successfully. As teachers we deal with learners who have different learning styles which implies that we need to use various strategies and resources in order to cater for those different learning styles. We need to use visuals, previous question papers, different textbooks, and drilling to teach learners. When we use various strategies it makes the lessons to be interesting which keeps the learners engaged and motivated to learn. It is important that we approach teaching from various dimensions to ensure that all learners are accomodated.

I also believe that confidentiality and privacy is critical because it emphasizes the importance of protecting sensitivite information and respecting privacy of the learners.

You need to always be professional, respect time and being authentic all the time. you must adhere to the rules and regulations of workshops. Always consult the ATP. We should respect the rights of learners and react to them humanly and fairly.

Dressing well as a teacher is important because it sets a professional tone and creates a positive first impression with students, parents and colleagues. It helps establish respect and authority in the classroom while fostering a sense of pride and confidence in the teacher.

Communication, I think a professional educator should be in position to communicate professionally with all stake holders in the school. District / Circuit officials, parents, learners, fellow colleagues and community around the school.

Dress code. Educator should dress appropriately and avoid revealing clothes. Punctuality, always come to work on time. Always go to class on time. Respect, respect your colleagues.
