Communication with learners, parents and colleagues. It should be done professionally with empathy, respect and understanding. When we communicate with people we work with, we create a path of unity. We should not assume that everyone knows what is expected of them and therefore we won’t communicate what they should know. Learners may be Ill-disciplined simply because they were not taught how to communicate respectfully in this day and age from home therefore as teachers we have to intervene by communicating respectfully so they learn from us. Engage the parents by taking them through their children’s performance and behavior so they can help out too, it’s a teamwork. Be vocal about your values but do not impose them to others, appreciate differences and be willing to hear the other persons side of story or perspective especially with colleagues. This will minimize the disputes. As colleagues we should address our issues privately with respect where the learners are not listening, not in front of the class, it may give them a leverage to use against us, so to win them we have to conduct ourselves professionally not emotionally.

Fairness:The teacher must be fair when working in the class and treat all learners equally.

Gender equality is very critical in the workplace. The gender should be equally represented . In a classroom or school were the other gender is not represented it can become a problem

Dress code . How you dress says a lot about you, even before you say anything, and as an educator you must dress in a respectful manner, considering the fact that learners tend to copy everything a teacher does, so dressing in a formal way is a must.

Dress code is important, learners will never show respect to a teacher that dresses like their age mate and lastly, adhering to the basic human rights in the classroom
